"The plate of good food"

The objective of the training workshops for the preparation of "El Plato de Buen Comer" is to generate more options for family food that are low-cost, healthy, nutritious and accessible, considering the responsible purchase of inputs, the cultivation of our food and its preparation. Mainly, the participation of women in vulnerable conditions is sought, emphasizing that the kitchen is the first company and must be managed from a domestic economy perspective. At all times, the aim is to highlight the importance of taking advantage of the edible plants of the region, reviving and adapting recipes of native gastronomy.

The preparation and exchange of food involves a whole network of ancient knowledge, tastes, knowledge and above all unpaid work to ensure that the supplies that are within our reach reach the table in a timely manner. The situation that humanity faces today in the face of climate change demands that we seek forms of social organization and environmental management to ensure the fertility of crop fields, regenerative food production systems, the abundance and diversity of inputs, especially seeds, free trade, sales spaces, access to land and water, as well as remuneration for domestic work. At the same time, new healthier consumption habits must be promoted and the plate of good eating must be redesigned to reduce costs and increase its nutritional value.

Through these workshops, we seek to publicize times and areas for collecting ingredients; identify and classify edible plants in local/regional gastronomy recipes, make a recipe book with edible plants accessible to the general population, among other activities.
